Microsystems technology and nanotechnologies have formed an important part of HANNOVER MESSE for many years. In the past they have mainly been presented at the leading trade fair MicroTechnology. It is precisely the coming together of nanomaterials and microsystems technology that has made possible the development of entirely new products, which in turn remains a key driver of industrial growth. In order to underline the significance of both these technologies for the future, the name of the trade fair has been changed to MicroNanoTec.
This year a total of 33,200 visitors came to HANNOVER MESSE to catch up on the latest developments in the micro- and nanotechnologies. One in five visitors came to Hannover with firm investment plans in mind. For the upcoming MicroNanoTec the show's organizers are expecting 200 exhibitors on a total display area of 2,500 square metres.
The IVAM Product Market "Micro, Nano, Materials" showcases new trends and applications in the context of the special display "Lasers for Micro-Materials Processing and Microproduction" and "Nano for Industry". Nanotechnologies can also be seen in action at "SchauPlatz Nano". Here exhibitors will be presenting solutions on the threshold of market readiness, as well as tried and tested applications. The group presentation WON "World of Nano" provides a further presentation platform for commercial enterprises, institutes and research establishments. Another highlight is the special presentation "Ultra-precision manufacturing". Here tooling and mould makers will be showing visitors how microproducts are manufactured using state-of-the-art production technology. Meanwhile the forum "Innovations for Industry" sets a high standard of debate and commentary. At this central communication platform guest speakers will be talking about the latest research products and outlining the kind of products we can expect to see in the future.
