OLED: Lightening the future

The new OLED thematic stand seizes on the rapid progress made during recent years in the field of organic light emitting diodes. Experts are forecasting an increase of over 100% during the period 2007-2013 in terms of energy efficiency and life expectancy for OLEDs, as well as a 50% reduction in the cost of manufacturing them. Especially in the intended target markets, which include automotive technology, scientific and technical construction of devices and appliances, household electronics, lighting and textiles, there is already a wide range of product solutions and developments. With the slogan "Lightening the future", the new theme pavilion provides scientific research institutions, universities and innovative businesses with the opportunity to present application-centric research findings and product developments in the key areas of OLED manufacturing technology, displays and screens, lighting and electronic paper to an international audience of professionals and experts.
