Themed presentation "Engineering Ceramics"

Engineering ceramics drive innovation in virtually all sectors of industry, making it possible to open up new, advanced areas of application. Today, the materials have already carved out a niche for themselves in many areas where it is difficult to achieve the same level of functionality using other materials. The product portfolio now ranges from small cutting tools, large antiwear elements for conveyor systems in power plants and components for the electronics industry to porous structures for membrane and filter technology, high-strength valves for plant engineering, ceramic heaters, bearings and much more besides.

As the interface between ceramics manufacturers, users and research institutes, the Technology Agency for Structural Ceramics (TASK GmbH), Treffpunkt Keramik and the German Ceramics Industry Federation (VKI) will be joining forces with around 35 companies from within the industry to showcase innovative applications in Hall 5. This event is complemented by a range of individual presentations.

The "Engineering Ceramics" theme park will demonstrate how high-performance industrial ceramics are shaping the future and paving the way for new applications that, until very recently, were still far beyond our reach.
