Now, help is at hand in the form of the EFA-TK-100 deep-freeze door from EFAFLEX Tor- und Sicherheitssysteme GmbH & Co. KG. This world first will be on show at HANNOVER MESSE 2012.
In contrast to the doors normally used in the cooling sector, the innovative roller door features a dynamic door blade and spiral track that ensure the blade remains pushed against the door frame when closed. A seal right around the frame means the deep-freeze area is sealed off virtually hermetically. Unlike other high-speed spiral doors, the spiral box is mounted on the outer, “warm” side of the door. What’s more, the system achieves perfect insulation thanks to the first-ever use of 10 cm thick EFA-THERM laths. The doors keep their cool even at temperature fluctuations of up to 30 degrees Celsius.
