Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy for the Forum Industrie 4.0 at Hannover Messe
The Industry 4.0 Forum has now become a firm feature at the HANNOVER MESSE. In 2017, experts will gather once again to discuss the digitisation of industry.
The focus of the Forum this year will be on IT security and the harmonisation of standards. Both of these topics – which include securing data and data connections, and the interaction between Industry 4.0 components – are important for SMEs in particular. In any modern value chain, these elements are vital.
The Forum will also deal with a multitude of other questions facing business and society which come with the digital transformation of our industry. I am therefore delighted to join with my colleague Johanna Wanka in serving as patron of the Industry 4.0 Forum.
This year, Platform Industrie 4.0 will once again be partner to the Forum. The platform is backed at political level by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Joining them will be the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) and the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (ZVEI), who will be supporting the Forum on behalf of business.
Together, we all wish you fruitful talks and useful insights as you visit the Industry 4.0 Forum.
