Closing Press Conference HANNOVER MESSE 2012
The event is being held on 10 April 2013, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hall 13 at Stand F20, Business Forum 1. Company representatives make presentations describing how their firms can contribute to sustainable production. Best practice examples illustrate the concrete benefits of sustainable production processes. The event concludes with the presentation of the "nachhaltige PRODUCTION" award by the editorial team. This prize honors innovative and sustainable products from companies exhibiting at HANNOVER MESSE 2013.
The Metropolitan Solutions Forum and the Global Town Halltake an in-depth look at the megatrend of urbanization and its consequences. Experts from a range of industries, finance experts and urban planners will meet at the Forum with municipal government representatives to discuss urban technology solutions in the areas of energy efficiency, urban mobility, water technologies for tomorrow's cities and technical building systems.
As part of their "dialogue for innovation", international experts will highlight the opposing and ambivalent forces at play in urbanization, provide answers to pressing questions and sketch out options for making cities more attractive places to live and work. The backdrop to this is the challenge of creating cities that use energy and resources sustainably while at the same time maintaining their economic vitality.

A special feature of the "better transport forum" is the inclusion of metropolitan regions and their strategies for extensive city-hinterland cooperation.
