Carl Cloos Schweisstechnik GmbH is bringing a raft of pioneering innovations for manual and automated welding to HANNOVER MESSE 2018. And it’s echoing the trade fair’s main focus on digitization and networking, with exhibits that include a fully networked interactive robot system. Cloos offers a varied portfolio of Industry 4.0 welding solutions, ranging from personalized component marking, offline programming and 3D measurement through to automated operation and production monitoring, remote service and much more besides.

"At the trade fair, we'll be showing how tool carriers, robots, power sources and master controllers already communicate with each other successfully in our welding systems," explains Cloos Managing Director Sieghard Thomas. He says the strength of this long-established company, which next year celebrates its 100th anniversary, lies in its wide-ranging expertise: "From welding technology, robot mechanics and controllers to positioners, software and sensors, Cloos supplies everything from a single source," he says. The innovations that Cloos is exhibiting include the new generation of QIROX Controller QC 2 control cabinets. The QIROX Robot Controller is specially designed to meet welding needs and offers an optimum human-machine interface. A further highlight is the new QIROX Operating System (QOS) equipped with the new QIROX Technology Interface (QTI) and QIROX QWP operating software. These components ensure even more user-friendly, intuitive operation and significantly reduce programming times.
