Cloud expert AXIT, which is part of the Siemens group, is launching a partnership with INTTRA , an American provider of network, software and information solutions which specializes in the needs of the ocean freight industry. Through it, AXIT’s customers will gain direct access to its partner’s global transaction platform. This platform is currently used by around 30,000 ocean shipping companies and 60 shipping lines, and facilitates fully digitalized processing and controlling of the entire logistical chain, from shipment planning and container booking to shipment tracking.

INTTRA’s functions can be controlled through AXIT’s AX4 platform; the possibilities include searching through shipping schedules and creating documents to accompany the shipment. This makes it possible for AXIT’s customers to plan and direct all its transports through a single interface, which will ideally likewise be used by their own business partners. This will facilitate a high level of transparency for all parties involved throughout the entire global supply chain.
