On the back of last year's success in Hannover, the Japanese technology company Konica Minolta is pulling out all the stops and doubling the size of its exhibition space this year. And no wonder - since the company has a huge range of digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 innovations up its sleeve for HANNOVER MESSE 2018. The variety really is enormous, ranging from solutions for digitizing production processes using IIoT platforms in collaboration with Siemens and AXOOM, smart glasses for optimizing assembly processes, and automated document digitization with Robotics BPO, right through to increasing quality control accuracy via digital color data management.

Further highlights on show include intelligent video technologies for machine and process monitoring, video-guided package tracking for increased efficiency in delivery processes, camera-based solutions for safer gas monitoring, and a centralized system for international companies producing work manuals in multiple languages. "For Konica Minolta, digital manufacturing is a core topic, because we are able to combine our distinct expertise and technologies from our different business units to enhance our solutions in this field. With the digitization of production processes, our customers are already facing very unique challenges based on their individual business needs. Konica Minolta puts these needs center stage and is constantly working on new solutions to help them bring the digital era into their production facilities," explains Steve Rommel, Head of Digital Manufacturing, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Deutschland GmbH.
