Alliander is the largest power grid operator in the Netherlands, this year's HANNOVER MESSE Partner Country – the company operates electrical and natural gas grids, public lighting and traffic lights; six million people in the Netherlands are supplied with energy by Alliander. Alliander is a leading innovator in the development of smart grids, including its German subsidiary of the same name. As an independent grid operator, Alliander lends great weight to a reliable energy infrastructure that is environmentally friendly, cost effective and accessible. Alliander Mobility Services is presenting ideas and concepts for electromobility at HANNOVER MESSE 2014.

Alliander Mobility Services places drivers at the center of their eMobility concept: “By removing barriers that drivers currently face in charging their electric vehicles, we are promoting the expansion of eMobility, which creates new markets and new business opportunities and leads to fresh innovations.” The vision of the company, whose German subsidiary is based in Berlin: the future charging infrastructure will let users charge their vehicles anywhere, anytime – no matter the manufacturer, charging technology, operator or country. Alliander wants to bring in various partners to implement this vision of a charging infrastructure that is both driver-centered and streamlined in terms of cost and organization: municipalities above all, but also businesses, public authorities, manufacturers, mobility providers and grid operators.

Event tip: Ton Doesburg, CEO of Alliander in Germany, discusses " Germany's energy transition and case study Holland " at the Renewable Energies forum (Hall 27, Stand E18) on Tuesday, 8 April from 10:40 to 11:05 a.m.
