This year’s partner country Poland will be represented by Prime Minister Beata Maria Szydlo, who will be attending the Opening Ceremony. Jointly with the Chancellor Angela Merkel, Szydlo will inaugurate the world’s most important industrial fair. As the sixth-largest industrial nation within the European Union and a country with a steadily-growing economy, it attracts considerable attention to the German economy as well as to corporations and investors worldwide. At the signing of the partner country agreement, the Polish State Secretary expressed that, "As the partner country of the HANNOVER MESSE 2017 we want to display the variety and dynamics of the Polish economy, including its innovation capacities and further develop international foreign relations."
Among the Opening Ceremonies' 2,500 invited guests numerous prestigious politicians, more than 100 CEOs of the leading industrial corporations, as well as about 300 international Media representatives are expected.
