Cytosurge AG developed a new revolutionary micro 3D printing process for metal components, based on the well-proven FluidFM technology. With this procedure it is now possible to carry out micro 3D prints in a greatly simplified process. Furthermore it allows for the production of - also partly overhanging - structures in various metals in one single, straightforward production step. In the near future, due to the technology's high versatility it could for example be used to manufacture nano-/microstructured surfaces, conductive contacts for signal transmission or complex micro-instruments in different metals.
3D print and industry 4.0 are two megatrends of the years to come. In many industrial branches there is therefore a growing need for continuing miniaturization and customized mass production. Thus, the new 3D print technology based on FluidFM comes at exactly the right time. The next step will be the industrialization of this technology.
