Insights into a current case of agile product development
In January 2017, Bastian Herrlich was tasked by the Digital Transformation Office of Deutsche Messe AG to set up a team for the further development of the event format Hackvention and to explore with it to what extent virtual and augmented reality offer the opportunity to develop digital products to strengthen Deutsche Messe AG's core business. The result: an AR App Navigation App. The long-term goal of the app is to enable trade fair visitors to navigate to exhibitors and points of interest (POIs) on the trade fair grounds in a targeted and time-effective manner using an AR navigation app and to enrich the physical trade fair experience by staging digital exhibition and information areas and gamification elements.
