A project for a Global Aerospace Power Systems manufacturer (part of innovation program) understanding how to take advantage of digital technology to create new value for their manufacturing and after-sales service operationsWe describe how a combination of IoT and Collaboration technologies are acting as a catalyst for the changing face of work, impacting KPIs including reduced build time, time to respond to service requests, customer experience & satisfaction and knowledge management. We explore closer man-machine collaboration to improve decision support, introducing contextual information to create new insights, reducing the time to identify anomalies and deviations and how to capture learnings and experiences for knowledge management with dynamic virtual workspaces. We demonstrate how the solution works through a use case of engine anomaly detection, fault-finding and diagnosis and response, including various collaborative interactions between humans and machines.
