Description

Electricity from renewable energy sources is generated locally. The future infrastructure consists of a finely branched network of small feed stations. The energy generated at offshore wind farms on the sea must be transported over large power corridors as efficiently as possible over hundreds of kilometers to the cities and industrial areas, and every owner of a photovoltaic system will sometimes be electricity producers and sometimes consumers. New, complex requirements must be met in a holistically intelligently networked system.
