Description

Over the past decades, the role of European manufacturing has been eroded in international context and a large part of its volume production has been transferred to lower wage regions of the world. The actual demand for smaller series (lot size 1) and quick changes in production require a different set up that suits the European – and especially Dutch - experience of combining different technologies  well. Crossing borders - both in technologies but also between cultures - is necessary to become successful, but will give Europe back its pole position in manufacturing.
