Especially for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), industry 4.0 is the crucial factor of success for increasing their productivity and lowering their costs. In this process they are being supported by the technology network it's OWL - Intelligent Technical Systems OstWestfalenLippe. Training courses and seminars impart knowledge concerning new technologies. At demonstration centres, they can experience and test various applications. Two specialist groups and six so called learning networks enable the dialogue between the enterprises. With analyses of potential and quick checks, experts from research facilities examine the production process and point out specific optimization possibilities. The talk will present the offers of support for SMEs and illustrate their impacts with practical examples.
