How to make the best impression in a competency based interview

Increasingly, interviewers use competency-based interviews to structurally assess your knowledge, skills and attitude while judging your fit for the job. These are interviews where each question is designed to test one or more specific skills. Your success in this type of assessment can be highly dependent on preparation. In this interactive training, you will practice formulating examples to use during a competency based interview. Using the STAR method you will create your own personal examples to validate a range of competencies that may be tested in an interview setting. While working in small groups you will simulate a real interview situation and get direct and immediate feedback. With the tips from this training in addition to the practice, you will have the foundation to go with confidence into your next interview. The training will be given in English while the practice can be in English or German depending on the participant groups.
