In the itŽs OWL cluster - Intelligent Technical Systems OstWestfalenLippe, companies, research facilities and the IG Metall cooperate in developing approaches and recommendations for the working life of the future. Phoenix Contact's pilot project "Zukunftswerkstatt Combicon" seeks to improve working processes in conductor plates and to develop them according to social science. New, variant-flexible equipment for smaller production batches, a new printing technology and a support system for the maintenance team are being developed. The whole process from creating a lettering variant to the printing will be digitalized. The study concerns working time arrangements, extent and distribution of the workload, the qualifications necessary, data protection and compensation. The work council is actively involved. In the talk, results and impacts of the project will be shown and recommendations for companies in the work 4.0 context will be given.
