Description

The presentation introduces IUNO - the national reference project for IT-security in Industry 4.0. As production systems are being connected to the internet, production plant are automatically subject to the increasing threat of cyber-attacks. Thus, IT-security solutions that guard connected industrial production systems and prevent unauthorized access, manipulation or misuse. However, until today security measures have, if at all, been implemented retroactively and only address some of the challenges.
In IUNO we identify and analyze threats and risks for the smart factory, develop protective measure and implement them exemplarily. The goal is to develop universally applicable solutions to the challenges that occur regarding the IT-security in industrial production systems. These solutions shall be primarily applicable to small and medium-sized enterprises, serving as a blueprint for secure Industry 4.0.
