Description

The word “RADAR” have been usually associated through history to bulky, costly devices. The reality for these devices nowadays is instead radically different. The constant effort in miniaturization for silicon technology lead to a significant decrease in dimensions, opening possibilities for integration into portable products, industrial production and embedded systems.

The applications of RADAR devices now spaces from material inspection, obstacle avoidance or characterization, distance/speed detection up to radar imaging; opening the doors for a new range of miniaturized products in automated production.

During this talk we would like to address the status of miniaturized radars on a technological point of view as well as provide an overview of the capabilities and possible applications of this technology in the industry, providing some insight on what might be the role of these devices in the future.
