Description

The application areas for sensors in industry are extremely diverse: They can detect the smallest amounts of light in optical distance measurement. They help screen items of freight. They monitor air flows in air-conditioning technology. They recognize levels and pressures in tanks and can detect positions and acceleration when monitoring the condition of machines. Now, a new sensor generation opens up innovative opportunities for a connected industrial automation: In multi-sensory systems these sensors communicate with each other and respond intelligently to measurement results in order to assume control functions in complex systems - the key to a smart production.
