Dassault Systèmes Additive Manufacturing Strategy
So far no information materials were provided for this event. Please contact the organizer directly for further information.
Additive Manufacturing has matured considerably in the past years and it has become a technology which is used in many industries. Still, getting a part to print requires many attempts and tests, since very many parameters affect the outcome of the print process. The final part may deviate from the designed part as the manufacturing process has a fundamental influence on the part. Here, simulation may help to reduce the gap between the as-designed part and the as-printed part, allowing the engineer to assess thermal field, distortion and possible failure regions in advance, prior to starting the printer. Thus simulation supports the additive manufacturing process from product design, to detailed simulation of the print process to final part verification and validation; making it possible to successfully develop products more reliable and in less time.
