In industrial manufacturing, a component becomes more valuable during the assembly process. It is therefore desirable to detect problems and irregularities in the production process as early as possible. In the light of Industry 4.0 this is done via different types of sensors where the values are collected, analyzed and combined automatically. In many cases it is of great value to process this data in real or near real-time, especially when the production process is time critical or rather complex. We will show through concrete examples from research projects how a real-time analytics platform can help to improve the industrial manufacturing process. We not only monitor individual components but are also able to monitor the whole production process and predict the time of the next manual intervention.
