Description

The Industrial Value Chain Initiative has focused on aspects of implementing cyber-physical ecosystems. As real situations are the basis of IVI activities, the presentation will talk about early results produced in public-private joint experiments started in 2017 in Japan. For the implementation of ecosystems, the Industrial Value Chain Reference Architecture (IVRA) has been enhanced. The proposed framework has three parts:

  1. System development based on manufacturing scenarios: IVI provides know-how to describe scenarios and modeling tools that support communicating on requirements and service specifications.
  2. Models for vertical integration: A method to manage connection of systems, from software to platforms, using a common dictionary and local dictionaries is provided.
  3. Connection of smart manufacturing units such as enterprises: Distributed systems using blockchain technology will allow secure exchange of data and objects with ensured traceability and well-defined data ownership.
