Description

JUMO plastoSENS T is a new process for the production of high-quality measurement technology. The sensors are coated with plastic in the injection molding process. Three first products for various industries demonstrate the potential of this innovative technology. For example, JUMO has developed a plastic sensor for electric motors or transformers with an insulation resistance of 7 kV. Conventional temperature sensors can only withstand a maximum of 2.5 kV.

A sensor with a very high vibration resistance is particularly suitable for use in engines of vehicles or machines. Since the sensor is completely embedded in plastic, it can withstand forces of up to 20 g. In sterilization applications, sensors are exposed to a particularly stressful combination of high temperatures, humidity and pressure. With the plastoSENS T sensor for this application, the high-performance plastics form an inseparable bond and thus ensure excellent tightness.
