The "Open Integrated Factory - Generation 2017" is the result of the close collaboration between SAP, Beckhoff, Kuka, Asentics, Schunk, cab, eos, Honeywell, Mettler-Toledo and Atlas Copco.
The machine (and the presentation) demonstrates, how automation technology and business software move closer together than ever before.
Based on OPC UA, manufacturing equipment evolves to flexible service providers.
Robots, Industrial Printers, Transport Systems, Vision Systems and Quality Measurement Systems interact dynamically - amongst each other, but especially with MES, ERP or Cloud.
Workers are supported by innovative means and tools; spare parts or custom-made products are 3D-printed and seamlessly integrated into the production process.
In addition, the OIF demonstrates, how Machine Learning based insights can have immediate impact on the production. Last but not least we show, how concepts of autonomous agents become reality.
