The production factory created during the fourth industrial revolution are characterized by a modular design. This can be derived from requirements that are directly related to the fourth industrial revolution. In addition to the requirement of the market, another influencing factor acts as a paradigm shift in the automation. The main technological drivers are the universal use of information and communication technology and the introduction of services. The result are modular, service-oriented facilities, the Smart Factories. The setting of aggregation levels for the use of service oriented architectures is the goal in order to find an economically reasonable and optimally coordinated solution to the performance of the system.
The lecture presents the architecture and shows the concrete implementation in the SmartFactoryKL demonstrator.
