Changzhou is a cultural city with a history of 3,200 year. It lies in the center of the Yangtze River Delta and is within One-hour Shanghai Economic Ring.
Changzhou National Hi-Tech District (CND) is a State-level Hi-tech Zone in Changzhou and is one of the most competitive development zones in Eastern China with the rapid accumulation of more than 25 years.
CND covers an area of 508.94 km2. It is among the first batch of the new and high-tech development zones with the State-level status. It is awarded many honorary titles including "Fastest Development High-Tech Zone", "Advanced State-level High-Tech Zone", "China Eastern Regions' Most Competitive Zone", "No. 1 of the Top 10 2011 China Most Potential Park" and etc.
Currently, there are over 10,000 enterprises in CND, of which 5,000 are in manufacturing sector. There are 1,550 foreign-invested companies and among them 32 are Fortune Top 500.
