The cross-state clustermanagement stands for active support of innovation in the regional energy industry. It supports the transfer of technology between economy and science and assists mainly R & D projects in the phase of conception and initiation.
In order to support innovation in the energy production industry, the Berlin-Brandenburg Energy Cluster was founded in early 2011. It pools the expertise of entrepreneurs, scientists, politicians and admin officials, thus boosting the added value and international competitive edge of the industry. ZAB ZukunftsAgentur Brandenburg GmbH is in charge of managing the energy technology cluster of the two states. ZAB closely cooperates with Berlin Partner GmbH. The focus of the Energy Technology Cluster is on the following five areas of action Renewable energies, Energy efficiency technologies, Energy networks and storage and Conventional/thermic power plants. Qualified employees and internationalization are further key aspects.
