The High Performance Center Smart Production Chemnitz, which is in foundation, will focus on disciplinary profiling clustering, considering Saxon production research, material and lightweight research and electronics for designing strategic research foci. Moreover, it will take a sustainable international position. Within the core topic of digitalization of production, a data integration platform 'Linked Factory' shall be developed, among other things, using technologies of Semantic Web relevant for Industry 4.0, thus creating the prerequisite for a virtual factory representation based on multiple sensor data of production system, produciton prcess and component.
