Company profile

Steka-Werke Technische Keramik were founded back in 1949. The company produces approximately 800 tons of advanced ceramics per year.

Around 95% of the manufactured ceramic components are exported to European countries, as well as to the Near and Far East.

Materials such as C110, C220, C221, C230, C410, C511, C530, C620 as well as other ceramical materials on request. zirconium oxide are processed according to DIN VDE 0335, Parts 1-3.

The excellent electrical properties of these ceramic insulating materials are the prerequisite for their extensive use in all areas of electrical engineering. Their advantages to other materials are: high temperature stability and great resistance to thermal shocks, resistance to acids and corrosion, strength, dimensional stability and reliability, economical efficiency in manufacturing, resistance to tear and wear and ecological benignity.

Ceramics for LED-Technology

Our material C620 combines the advantages of high compressive strength with extraordinary temperature conductivity.read more

Ceramics for domestic appliances

Our ceramic items have excellent mechanical and electrical properties. Steatite (C220 and C221) as well as porcelain (C110 and C111) are frequently used materials. Applications: These items appear in various applications from oven brackets to screw terminals.read more

Ceramics for electrical components

Different requirements such as high mechanical strength or high thermal shock resistance demand the use of either steatite (C220 and C221) or cordierite (C511 and C520). Besides its high thermal shock resistance, dense cordierite (C410) has the further advantage of being moisture resistant. Applications: Carrier ...read more

Ceramics for control engineering

High thermal shock resistance and high dimensional accuracy are particularly essential requirements our ceramic products have to meet. In this field, the primarily used material is steatite (C220 and C221). Applications: Cooking hobs, coffee machines or protection for cable drums.read more

Ceramics for lighting technology

High mechanical capacity and very tight dimensional tolerances are important requirements our ceramic products have to meet. Applications: Torchieres, studio lamps, facade lighting or stadium floodlightsread more

Ceramics for installation engineering

Two essential requirements our ceramic products have to meet are high mechanical stability and the possibility to process the material before firing (e.g. to tap). Applications: Low and high voltage fuses for lead/ protection of electric lines, motor circuits, transformers and capacitors.read more

Ceramics for electrical heating technology

High thermal shock resistance is an essential requirement our ceramic products have to meet. Therefore we use cordierite (C511 and C520). Applications: Air heating for space heating, hand dryers or hot air guns for paint removalread more
