ADDINOL Eco Gas 4000 XD – the latest development from ADDINOL

The composition of gas engine oils is a particular challenge. On the one hand, the manufacturers of the units place very complex requirements on the lubricants, on the other hand the applications are manifold and each plant needs to be looked at individually.

Research & Development make up a vital part of our core competence. In the development of our gas engines oils we have been co-operating closely with leading OEM for many years. After all, today engine oils are design elements and the safe and stable operation is only possible with the perfectly suited lubricant.

Currently, our development department focusses on the latest member of our gas engine oil series: ADDINOL Eco Gas 4000 XD. Engine technology is advancing at a tremendous pace. In order to achieve a higher output and meet stricter emission standards at the same time, engineers use new materials and adapt the design of pistons and combustion chambers. These developments often result in higher pressure loads and increasing temperatures within the units – these are new challenges for the engine oil applied.

ADDINOL Eco Gas 4000 XD is perfectly tailored to increased requirements on gas engine oils used in operations with cleaner combustion gases. It displays highest thermal as well as alkaline stability and achieves superior engine cleanliness, the effective reduction of deposits and best wear protection. Current field tests conducted with MTU Onsite Energy and MWM produced outstanding results and confirm the parameters achieved in the laboratory. Field tests with MAN and Tedom have already been completed successfully and the product is approved for application.
