Mundra Ports rapid rise has resulted in many firsts and widespread recognition. Its first was the prestigious Annual Indian Maritime Gateway award in the category of Private Port of the Year 2009. This award has been conferred on Mundra many times since.
In the same year, the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), at its C-40 World Ports Climate Declaration, brought together 55 top ports from across the world to commit to jointly reduce the threat of global climate change. Mundra was selected for its excellent record and focus on green initiatives.
