AFTER COOLER (INTERCOOLERS)
AAG AS Series intercoolers are used in order to reduce the amount of humidity contained in the pressurised air system and to reduce the temperature of the pressurised air. A copper tube heat exchanger, which is supported by aluminium cooling fins is present. The axial fans direct the ambient air over the heat exchanger for the required cooling to take place. The temperature of the pressurised air cools down to a value, where it is approximately 10°C above the ambient temperature. This cooling process causes high level of water vapour to turn into liquid. This water is separated from the air system by the SA Water Separator, which is mounted at the intercooler outlet.
Use of AS intercoolers protects the equipments like cooled drier, adsorption drier, filters since it reduces the humidity on these units and it provides maximum level of efficiency.
The pressurised pipe intercooler battery is a type, where aluminium fins are pushed over the copper tubes. Cassette and the hood of the fan are made of DKP steel sheet and the collector is made of steel. The maximum operation pressure is 16 bar and the test pressure is 25 bar.
Fans have plastic profile fins and they are angle adjustable high efficiency types.
Motors are three phase with 350 V, 50 Hz and they are fully enclosed types.
The batteries are supplied with stands or without stands, upon request and they are supplied together with DIN 2502 ND 16 flanges and counter flanges. Water separator is included with the delivery.
