Autonomous Sensor System for a Detailed Analysis of Movements
The autonomous sensor system is a miniaturized electronic device consisting of sensors, a microcontroller and a radio module. Due to its small size, the system can be applied, e.g., to articular cuffs and other parts of the human body without affecting a person's movement. The system serves to generate data on movements like acceleration, speed, distance and force. Its main area of application lies in competitive, recreational as well as rehabilitative sports. This sensors system is small, flexible and significantly less expensive than comparable systems. It can measure the acceleration and the pathway e. g. of the arm of an athlete. The system is being developed in co-operation with ATS Elektronik GmbH Wunstorf and the Olympic Service Center Lower Saxony.
