The number of orders has reached the triple digits and with our produced parts we have even achieved the four-fold figures. Because of these results, we no longer have to wonder whether our service is desirable in the manufacturing world, but how we can expand it.
Batchforce version 1 (v1) of the application we have set up on the basis of research into and own experiences within the manufacturing industry. Of course we were aware that this v1 would not be a final version.
We used the first half year to process orders, but also to gain knowledge about what an optimal order process looks like. We did this by using the application itself, but mainly by recording active user experiences.
As our partners know, it means that we visited them, or contacted them through the Batchphone. But of course we also received the phone calls that a certain functionality did not work or did not work optimally.
We incorporated the majority of the comments actively into v1, with the reason that if these functions were not present, there would be an incomplete application (think of the possibility to add a pdf to parts). But there was also feedback that would have such a big influence on the order process that we felt compelled to start a v2. We will be working on updates in the next two months.
1. Uploading multiple files at the same time 2. Design and structure the order process in such a way that orders can be formatted faster. 3. Arrange orders in a way that you will never receive more CNC milling jobs as a CNC turning specialist and much more.
