To make welders independent of missing power sockets so that they can weld high-strength joints without the need of annoying cable extensions, Heinz Soyer Bolzenschweißtechnik expanded their product range, adding a battery-powered stud welding inverter with drawn arc ignition.
This innovative BMK-8i ACCU stud welder is self-contained, easy to operate and was specifically developed for the mobile and flexible use for assembly work without grid access. Due to the state-of-the-art inverter welding technology, the stud welding device is more compact and lighter compared to conventional stud welding devices. With a weight of only 8 kg and equipped with a convenient carrying strap, larger distances are no longer a problem. When needed, the high-performance battery can be charged via an integrated intelligent charging module.
The BMK-8i ACCU is durable, powerful and extremely energy-efficient. With a welding power of 300 A, this device allows for mobile stud welding up to a diameter of 8 mm (up to M10 with Soyer HZ-1R welding studs) and offers impeccable welding characteristics even for thin sheet processing. Thanks to the integrated SRM technology®, it is now possible to weld thick studs with permanent, decorative and reliable joints onto thin sheets without causing any beads. Problem-free and material-saving welding becomes possible even under difficult conditions. When used in conjunction with the standard welding gun PH-9 SRM12, the BMK-8i ACCU reduces gas consumption by up to 90%.
