Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) is the national research institute for mathematics and computer science in the Netherlands. It is located at Amsterdam Science Park and is part of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). We conduct pioneering research in these fields and transfer our results to society. To give focus to our efforts, our research is clustered in five broad, societal-relevant themes: software, data, networks, computation and quantum. Research of CWI can be applied in a wide range of application domains that are crucial for functioning of our society and innovations such as transportation and mobility systems, smart ernegy networks, software applications and big data analytics. The institute has generated twenty-four spin-off companies.
As a spin-off company from CWI, SEITA is perfectly situated to tackle the complexity of offering dynamic energy tariffs. SEITA licenses an off-the-shelf pricing system for energy retailers to benefit from dynamic tariffs, by reducing portfolio risk, creating economic value and shaping a sustainable brand.
As a spin-off company from CWI, SWAT.engineering creates software that can easily be adapted to changing circumstances. For customers in the manufacturing industry, financial sector, and government we translate research results on Software Analysis and Transformations (SWAT) to more flexible, more secure, and better maintainable software systems.
