It is not always easy for design engineers to choose the right linear unit for their particular need and it can be a time-consuming process. Previously, it was only possible to choose from the wide range of linear systems by comparing technical data. Little attention was paid to the needs of the application. The specialist Rose+Krieger has decided to tackle this deficiency and develop a revolutionary new selection concept. From the application perspective, products are divided into three main segments termed the RK Linear Circle.
Move-Tec (e.g. occasional adjustment due to dimensional changes), Place-Tec (e.g. palletization and loading) and Control-Tec (e.g. thrust axes with high precision).
This initial selection filters linear units by their individual properties and main performance features. In the subsequent two steps, the units are further grouped according to their constant and variable lengths and their guides with and without drives. Technical data are only used as a criterion in the fourth and final selection steps. since by this stage the remaining linear units have already been considerably filtered and he final decision is easy and at the same time very reliable.
