The data logger ALMEMO® 500 marketed by AHLBORN is a completely new device version unique in the field of measurement data acquisition. On the one hand it is easy and intuitive to use thanks to an 8-inch tablet with a preinstalled app. On the other hand a web service makes it possible for several users to simultaneously access the data logger via an integrated Wi-Fi access point. Of course, the data logger can log into an existing Wi-Fi or LAN network as well, e.g. to enable access to the data logger via a company network or VPN. To do so, the user configures the hotspot via a configuration website integrated in the data logger to e.g. setup network names or encryption. Apart from the visualization of measurement data, the entire configuration of ALMEMO® 500 and of all attached sensors can be done via tablet as well. Thanks to galvanically isolated and independent measuring input sockets, it is possible to attach a variety of sensor types. However, already existing sensors can be attached via the intelligent ALMEMO® plugs as well. The standard version provides 20 measuring input sockets. With the new D7 sensor generation up to 10 channels per measuring input are possible. The data logger can synchronously measure up to 4000 measuring operations per second. The measured values can be displayed as single measurement values, value lists, freely configurable displays or as a line graph. Historical measurement sequences saved on the measurement data storage can be loaded offline as well as during measurement operations. To visualize system messages, the device features a 0.82-inch OLED display. Measurement data is either exported via the program WinControl or via Excel. The internal 3 GB data memory is also available as a ring memory and, depending on the measurement resolution, it is sufficient for up to 600 million measured values. The device is suitable for mains and optionally battery operation.
