Product description

Our DES buffers braking energy and in fact independently of mains power. It takes over the task of a brake resistor, only without destroying the energy to be absorbed. The unit is suitable for converters with connection voltages between 400 and 460 V AC. It has a storage capacity of around 1.8 kJ. Such a brake energy management makes feasible saving energy and protects the mains power supply.

The DES must be used like a brake resistor: connect, forget and be able to rely on it. Like a type of black box, it adjusts itself automatically to the conditions: the occurring braking case is detected by the DES and energy is taken from the intermediate circuit. It also reacts automatically as soon as energy has to be pumped back into the intermediate circuit. If unexpected peaks occur, another brake resistor is integrated for the worst case scenario.

- universal

Universality was the most important requirement for the development of the Dynamic Energy Storage. Converter-independent, without buttons, indicators and controls, the DES mainly shows its advantages for applications with short cycle times.

- expandable

Similarly to our modular system in the brake resistor area, the DES can also be expanded using additional modules.
