Product description

A new polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC)-based micro combined heat and power system (mCHP) is set to be mass-produced in Europe. Viessmann developed the fuel cell heat and power system with Panasonic for the domestic heating market. The Vitovalor 300-P is said to be the first mass-produced, commercially available fuel cell to be developed for domestic use in Europe. The system, comprising a fuel cell unit, peak load boiler and hot water tank, reduces CO2 emissions by 50% compared to the separate generation of heat and power.
