Impact Extrusion instead of deep drawing
In Comparison to deep drawing impact extrusion allows to produce different wall and bottom thicknesses with local material depots (threads). The length of a tube can be 10 times the size of its slug diameter and it can be pressed in one stroke.

- No conical draft needed
- Fiber is parallel to the outline and the strain hardening increases stability
- Low tool costs in comparison to die casting
Today impact extrusion processes are mainly used for products such as tubes and cans. However, this very cost saving process has great potential for a wide range of technical part related to the electrical, micro, sensing, military pyro, optics and medical manufacturing industry.
