The development allows to analyze more than 3 million points of a certain object and to reflect in 3D its dimensional deviations. This milestone will make it possible to guarantee a final finish that acquires precisions of the order of microns in pieces of industrial use.
The system is based on a laser scanner that captures the shape of the object, sends all that data to the cloud and compares the surface with the original design of the piece in 3D.
This technology, which has utility in multiple industrial sectors, is being used in automotive as a tool for validating the forging process for components that are assembled in almost 8% of the world's car production.
