The connyun platform is a platform-as-a-service solution that aims to establish a connection and communication between all sensor-equipped "things" (robots, wrenches, AGVs etc.) and a customer-specific Cloud. An edge component with an active connyun software agent is required in order to connect things to the Cloud. The first step is to use this edge component to consolidate and process the data locally. The connection to the central Cloud (public or private) is established via the edge component. Device connectivity and device management are of paramount importance in this respect. Furthermore, the data is classified within the Cloud by way of a message broker, streaming and data processing. The databases in the Cloud consist of so-called object stores. These can be created using various infrastructures and are thus determined by the contractual partner in question (AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage etc.). The platform is accessed and then used by way of a logging system which enables functions such as monitoring, operations and a search function for within your own Cloud tenant. Moreover, IoT applications are programmed by third-party providers and made available via an app store. This is essential for incident management and reporting. IoT services enable the use of back-end system integration (SAP etc.). This can be used to carry out usage tracking and charging. Analytics is another key component of the connyun platform. This is used to set up various demo and data science environments. The platform provides selection options for different users, roles and authorizations. Access to the specified functions is provided by a user interface on a desktop computer or on mobile devices.
