2.Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM)
Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM), based on VSC and PWM technology, has the best performance for high power reactive power compensation. STATCOMs synchronously detect the power grid state, and quickly adjust dynamic reactive power output to meet the system requirements.
3.VSC-HVDC valves and controls
Compared with conventional HVDC transmission systems: no reactive compensation and phase shifting is required, control mode is more flexible, less cost, less land occupation and offers longer transmission length under the same voltage level.
