Barat Ceramics has more than 50 years of experience in producing ceramic-metal brazed connections. The experience Barat Ceramics has gathered in processes, together with state-of-the-art equipment, allow for the realization of sophisticated, customer-specific assemblies. Our service portfolio ranges from the structural design through prototype production up to serial supply. This process including the preparation of ceramic materials is performed at the Auma site.
Ceramic-metal brazed connections are used as high-performance insulators in different types of (electrical, thermal or fluid) feedthroughs. The high bonding strength of the compound, combined with high-vacuum tightness, temperature resistance and electrical insulation properties qualify these components for a multitude of application:
- Insulators for high-performance tubes (X-ray tubes, transmission tubes)
- Insulators for analytical instrumentation / physical research (cyclotrones, catalyst sections, mass spectrometer)
- Laser applications
- Sensor applications
- Cases for electronic components and switches
