Product description

The «Mining-RoX» project investigates applications of autonomous robots in underground mining. The goal is the development of mobile robot technology to facilitate the autonomous exploration of underground mines, e.g. for providing detailed 3D scans and monitoring of environmental conditions, such as air and water quality. As Europe's only university operating a research mine, the TU Bergakademie Freiberg is a unique location for pioneering research on mining robots. The University of Applied Sciences Mittweida is involved as local partner.
