The innovative MONO3D robot vision system offers a solid contour-based object detection option, which reduces costs, production time and the use of resources in a wide range of applications, such as de-racking parts or positioning them for assembly. With a single camera, the system can determine all six of an object's degrees of freedom with accurate precision - even if it is in motion. MONO3D requires only three attributes, such as holes, edges or corners, to reliably determine the position and orientation of a part. This ensures a maximum range of flexibility in parts that can be detected.The pre-calibrated sensor integrates camera and LED illumination and features compact dimensions. It works as either stationary solution or mounted to the robot's arm. Distances between the sensor and object can be selected variably. So, the MONO3D can even be easily integrated into the existing production environment, even if space is minimal. As a part of the "Plug & Automate" family of products, you do not need any expert knowledge for this system. Set-up is fast and intuitive using the clearly arranged graphic user interface.
